On Friday February 7th, the students at St. Teresa of Calcutta participated in Snuggle up and Read Day. Staff and students came to school dressed in their pajamas and carrying their favorite stuffies. Older students were paired with younger students throughout the school. Our older students chose a book to read to their younger partners. The older students also prepared activities that went along with their book. After reading the story the students worked together on the activity and spent some time getting to know one another. It was a great way for younger students to meet new students from the school and to become comfortable with the older students. It was a great day promoting literacy and building up our school community. Many parents dropped into to the FDK classes to share a book with their children as well. Fun was had by all!
