As you are aware, because of its value for Literacy the BTOC teaching staff holds its own in-school Public Speaking competition on an annual basis. Over the next few months, every student from Gr. 4-8 will be involved with speech writing. Click on the attached to preview the letter and outline that will be coming home soon.
Every student will have the opportunity to present their speech in front of their peers in the classroom. The top three students from grade 4-6 and top 2 students in each intermediate class will participate in the school finals in May. The Board will not be holding regional finals this year as this is done on an alternate year basis. Students from Gr. 1-3 will have the opportunity to recite poems at our in-school event.
